I was treated at Sarum Road hospital as a NHS patient. Mr Bailey fully explained what my knee replacement surgery would entail and what I could expect to happen and feel. There were no surprises. He was very personable. My surgery was on a Friday afternoon and I was surprised to see Mr Bailey on the Saturday and the Sunday. I felt that he genuinely cared about me and my well being. The whole care package has been very impressive. The staff were wonderful and very encouraging. I wish all hospital experiences could be like this.

The care and advice received during my time under the care of Mr Bailey has been reassuring and above all successful in what was set out to achieve. The waiting times throughout my care and various procedures have generally been good in the current climate of media hype around hospital waiting times. There has at times been a good deal of travelling involved due to the use of a number hospitals used within the trust but for me it was a small price to pay for the end result.

I am delighted to write this review, as I have been so happy with the care I received from Mr Christopher Bailey, as well as the kindness of all the Nursing staff at the Nuffield. I developed a cist in the back of my knee which, though small, was becoming more and more painful. Originally I went through the NHS to have it removed - but I was dismayed that the surgeon I saw was adamant that a general anaesthetic would be necessary. I felt that this was more for the surgeon's convenience than for my own welfare, so I decided to have a consultation with Mr Bailey at the Nuffield, Hants. From our first consultation, Mr Bailey listened carefully and offered expert advice. He said that the op would only require a local anaesthetic and would take less than 30 minutes. Though out the operation, Mr Bailey talked me through each step - he was courteous, kind and thoughtful. The op was a success and has healed well. I must mention the care and after care of the Nursing Staff - also excellent. I am grateful to the Nurses and Sister who helped me - they were kind and considerate, professional and efficient - which helped with my pre-op nerves. So, I cannot recommend Mr Bailey highly enough and he would certainly be my first choice. I know that he carries out important, complicated operations every day, and I would have great confidence in his work. Many thanks to Mr Bailey for his wonderful help.

I was well looked after from first entering the reception for the first consultation to the day of the operation and the final post op check. No problems whatsoever. I had been in some pain for quite a time but Mr. Bailey assured me this would reduce, in fact it has gone completely. Now, six weeks later I am still getting more agile. I really can't thank Mr. Bailey and all the other staff enough. Better than excellent treatment.

I found Mr Bailey very approachable from the first appointment . He didn't rush me and spent time on explaining what needed to be done. I would recommend him and his team to any future patients.
